Demo Theater Presenters

Mark Christiansen
Mark Christiansen is the author of "After Effects Studio Techniques" (Adobe Press). He has created visual effects and animations for feature films including "Pirates of the Caribbean 3", "The Day After Tomorrow" and films by Robert Rodriguez. Past clients include Adobe, Sony, Cisco, Sun, Cadence, Seagate, Intel and Medtronic. His broadcast work has appeared on HBO and the History Channel. Mark's roles have included producing, directing, designing and effects supervision, and his solo work has appeared at film festivals including L.A. Shorts Fest. Mark is the founder of Flowseeker LLC in San Francisco, and a co-founder of ProVideoCoalition (www.provideocoalition.com).
Mike Downey
Mike Downey has been in the industry for over 12 years. He has shot and edited everything from events to commercials. He also is a seasoned teacher, having taught high school for over 15 years. In combining his love of teaching and video production he has become one of the premiere trainers in the industry. When not shooting and editing, Mike is traveling around the country training broadcasters at stations such as NBC, CBS and FOX how to use the Canopus Editing Software Edius for broadcast. Jeffrey P. Fisher
Jeffrey P. Fisher, audio post-production pro laments, "Nobody leaves the theater humming your sound effects. Audio only gets noticed when it sucks. But when I do my job right, the audience has a better experience." As an award-winning sound editor/designer/mixer, Jeffrey shares his insights from an over-two-decade career. "I really enjoy helping people make their art. Whether that's answering questions about audio/video production and post-production issues, consulting and training more extensively, teaching my college classes, or working alongside other creative professionals on an exciting project, it's all good."
Rod Harlan
Rod Harlan is President of DriveDV, Inc., a full service multimedia firm, live event producer, and episodic web television development studio. He is the Founder and Director of Education for the Digital Video Professionals Association (DVPA), Dynamic Media Editor of Layers Magazine, Audio-Visual Director for the Adobe Photoshop World Conferences, and an instructor for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Rod is an author and contributor of numerous books and magazine articles, and is a frequent speaker and trainer at some of the largest conferences and expos. His personal blog, DVconfidential.com, is an industry favorite with its mix of discussion on the business of DV, tips and techniques, rumors and reviews, told through Rod's unique perspective.
Richard Harrington
Richard Harrington, a certified instructor for Adobe, Apple, and Avid, is a practiced expert in motion graphic design and digital video. AV Multimedia Producer Magazine named him as one of the Top Producers of 2004. Rich is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals Instructor Dream Team, and a popular speaker on the digital video circuit. His book, Photoshop for Video, was the first of its kind to focus on Photoshop's application in the world of video. He is also a contributing author for "Producing Video Podcasts", "Final Cut Studio On the Spot", "After Effects On the Spot", "After Effects at Work", and "Aperture 2" for the Apple Pro Training Series. Jerry Hofmann
Jerry Hofmann has become an award winning theatrical actor, TV and film editor, writer, director and producer during his 34-year professional show business career. Jerry founded his first television and film production company in Los Angeles in 1978. During those years, he produced hundreds of TV commercials, industrial films, and broadcast television shows. Currently, he has his own company, jlh productions, and teaches part time at the Colorado Film School. Jerry is a Creative COW leader and the highest rated poster in Apple's Final Cut Pro Discussion group. His book "Jerry Hofmann on Final Cut Pro 4" was published recently by New Riders Publishing.
Steve Holmes
Steve Holmes is the creative director of the award-winning motion graphics studio Energi Design, in Sausalito, CA. After working the first 15 years of his career in London and some of Europe's major design capitals, British-born Steve moved Energi Design to California in 2002. Since then, the studio has continued to create high-profile motion graphic design and Flash-based web projects for clients such as Adobe, Apple, Artbeats, Virgin Atlantic, Hiball Energy and Cadbury's, and just recently garnered a W3 Award for their acclaimed Type+Motion microsite which is featured at adobe.com/type.
Aharon Rabinowitz
Aharon Rabinowitz has over a decade of industry knowledge and experience in broadcast and multimedia. Aharon is the Creative Director at All Bets Are Off Productions, Inc., a New York City based company that offers services for broadcast, film, and other media. Aharon is a commentator for National Public Radio, trains video professionals, and teaches advanced animation courses at Pratt Manhattan. In addition, he is the host of several Creative COW Master Series Training DVD's and Podcasts, and co-runs After Effects New York, the world's largest and fastest growing software user group.
Douglas Spotted Eagle
Douglas Spotted Eagle is a giant in the video and audio industries, having received Grammy, Emmy, DuPont, Peabody, and many other awards. Spot can be found in the DMN, Sony and DVInfo.net forums as a host on subjects from compositing to audio engineering. He is also a trainer in the Sound Forge, ACID, Vegas, HDV, Power Production Techniques, and Streaming VASST classes. Spot has also won many awards for his documentaries. As a writer, his technical books include subjects such as Apple's Soundtrack, Sony's Vegas, Adobe's Encore, and DV Basics. He also co-authored "HDV: What You NEED to Know", and "Instant Vegas".
