Artbeats offers a unique variety of subject matter at a quality that you won't find anywhere else. Our footage is royalty-free with unlimited use and licensed for broadcast worldwide, in perpetuity. Our License Agreement offers detailed information about approved usage. Quality
We are confident that you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of our footage. Whether it's film originated, computer generated, HDCAM/SR or RED footage, Artbeats delivers the quality of film in digital format. Our production cycle and processes are the secret to great looking imagery. Artbeats has distanced itself from the competition by creating a production cycle that preserves the integrity and quality of the footage. This includes shooting with the highest quality HD cameras, selecting only A-roll shots, custom color correction to optimize each image, and stabilizing clips that have excessive gate weave or other movement problems. The footage is mildly compressed using the Photo JPEG codec at high quality.
Purchasing Individual Clips or Collections
Artbeats offers royalty-free stock footage in standard definition (NTSC & PAL), high definition and hi-res RED. Our footage can be purchased by the clip or by the collection (if applicable). Individual standard definition clips are $199-$300 per clip and we offer a Buy 3, Get the 4th Free discount on individual clips (excludes Low-Res clips). Standard definition Low-Res clips are $49 each. Full collections range in price from $399-$699 and contain an average of 20-35 clips.
Artbeats High Definition library is provided at 1920x1080. Individual high definition clips are $299 per clip and we offer the same multiple clip discount. HD Low-Res clips are $79 each. Hi-def collections are $799-$1599 and include an average of 20-30 clips. Additionally, footage shot on the RED ONE camera has a hi-res option for purchase at either 4K, 3K or 2K – depending on the source resolution. Each clip will only have one hi-res version available. You may also purchase the R3D raw files for an additional fee. See the clip viewing page for further information pertaining to each clip including available size and pricing.

Artbeats offers hi-res RED footage and RED raw files for download as well.
V-Line
In addition to our film library, the Artbeats library includes our V-Line and HD V-Line, compelling footage sourced from DV, HDV, Digi-Beta, Beta SP, and older film footage. Because of this, the quality is often less than you will find in the regular Artbeats footage library. Individual clips are $199-$300 each and full collections are $399 with an average of 30 clips per collection. Most V-Line footage was sourced at NTSC and therefore is not available in PAL but many of the HD V-Line sourced collections will feature PAL versions, check the information on each collection for formats available. HD V-Line collections are $799 each with an average of 30 clips per collection.
Source
The footage is captured from 35mm film, 16mm film, HDCAM, HDCAM-SR, a RED ONE camera or computer generated. For the most part, the footage was shot at 30p, progressive (non-interlaced at 30fps). The V-Line contains footage from various sources including DV, Digi-Beta, and Betacam SP. The HD V-Line contains footage shot from HDV or equivalent HD pro-sumer camcorders. Of course, the V-Line and HDV-Line will be interlaced.
Downloading Footage
All Artbeats footage is provided in QuickTime.mov files. All clips and/or collections can be downloaded directly from this web site by choosing the "download delivery" option in your shopping cart before checkout. If you prefer, you can choose to have the clips and/or collections shipped to you on a custom DVD-ROM.
Upgrading to Full Collections
If you order an individual clip from one of our collections, you have 72 hours in which to order the full collection minus the price paid for the clip. Contact us at (800) 444-9392 or orders@artbeats.com to order the full collection. After 72 hours, you will be charged full price for the collection.
