Artbeats Brings Hollywood's Best to Stock Footage
Hollywood Talent Contributes Stunning CG Effects, Thrilling Skydiving and Spectacular Cityscapes to Artbeats' Latest Collections

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. - March 25, 2003 - What do "Solaris," "Cliffhanger" and "Pearl Harbor" have in common with Artbeats? Simple... the same Hollywood talent and technology were used to create amazing and thrilling footage for Artbeats' latest collections. Artbeats, a leader in royalty-free stock footage, has employed award-winning digital effects artist, Richard "Doc" Baily; production pilot, Ivor Shier; and renowned skydiving cinematographer, Norman Kent, for several new collections being released at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention (NAB). These new collections include Dreamlight, Light Waves, Freefall!, San Francisco Aerials and Seattle Aerials. Artbeats will showcase these and more than twenty other new collections at NAB 2003, booth number SL1923 (South Hall).

"Artbeats is bringing the quality of Hollywood cinematography to the royalty-free stock footage industry," says Phil Bates, president of Artbeats. "This allows our customers to create incredible work that can compete on any level, including the best that broadcast and feature film have to offer."

Dreamlight and Light Waves, two of Artbeats' latest CG collections, were created by digital effects artist, Richard "Doc" Baily. Baily used SPORE, a proprietary software that features an ultra-high density particle renderer that can construct images containing over 1 billion particles. No other hardware or software product comes close to this kind of capability, making Artbeats' Dreamlight and Light Waves collections truly unique, beautiful and cutting-edge. Baily's work has been displayed in feature films such as "Solaris," "The Cell," and "One Hour Photo."

Freefall! is an adrenaline packed collection that features world champion skydivers free falling, swooping, stunting, and taking part in world record-breaking formations and other daring endeavors. Freefall!'s awesome and thrilling footage was filmed by award winning cinematographer Norman Kent whose feature film credits include "Cliffhanger," "Eraser" and "Drop Zone."

Artbeats will also release San Francisco Aerials and Seattle Aerials, two new collections that were filmed with the same aerial crew and equipment used for "Fast and the Furious 2," "Executive Decision," "Pearl Harbor" and "The Hunted."

Artbeats footage is available in HD-1920x1080, D1 NTSC-720 x 486 or D1 PAL-720 x 576 resolution. All imagery is broadcast resolution or higher and has exceptional artistic and technical quality. The Dreamlight and Light Waves collections are available in standard definition format. Freefall!, San Francisco Aerials and Seattle Aerials will be available in standard and high-definition formats.
